About Me

Hi, I’m Molly, a UX Designer and Front-end Developer focused on creating intuitive, accessible and inclusive digital experiences. I work across the full front-end lifecycle, from user research and design through to implementing responsive, production-ready interfaces.

I hold a First Class (Hons) MSci in Computer Science from Lancaster University (2025). This degree provided me with a broad technical foundation and strengthened my understanding of core software engineering principles alongside design fundamentals.

My professional journey began designing for learning disabled users, which shaped my approach to accessibility and inclusive designs. I apply accessibility best practices throughout both design and development, ensuring experiences are usable, considerate and technically sound. I enjoy collaborating  closely with designers, developers, stakeholders and users to deliver thoughtful, empathetic solutions which balance user needs with technical and business constraints.

I am currently completing the Google UX Design Professional Certificate with Coursera to further strengthen my UX practice. As of January 2025, I have completed five modules, achieving 100% in all of them.

From a development perspective, I focus on building scalable, maintainable and accessible front-end applications using React, TypeScript and TailwindCSS as my primary stack. I develop responsive, component-driven interfaces with a strong emphasis on clean code, usability and accessibility.

I have introductory experience with back-end and API development, giving me a solid understanding of how front-end applications interact with services and data. While my back-end experience is currently more limited, I am looking to expand this skill set to become a more well-rounded full stack developer.

I’m continuously learning and refining my technical stack, keeping up with modern front-end practices and exploring new tools and technologies to improve both performance and developer experience.

I’m currently open to new opportunities and collaborations - particularly roles where accessibility, thoughtful design, and high-quality front-end development are valued.
